Summary of Letter from Janet Cannon, P. E. WisDOT Project Supervisor, Waukesha, WI

The WisDOT Southeast Region office has finalized the Environmental Report for the WIS 164 County Q - County E project. A public hearing was conducted on Jan. 23, 2014, at Friess Lake School.  WisDot received written testimony, public verbal testimony, and/or private verbal testimony from many residents from that area. Everyone's input was considered as the Environmental Report was finalized.
Both the Draft and Final Environmental Report (ER) are available on WisDOT's web site.  These documents are available in hard copy format at the Village of Richfield office and other locations.

There were comments and areas of concern that were expressed by several individuals in the public hearing testimony. They are summarized and tallied in the Final ER Environmental Addendum A, Table A 1, which is titled "Public Hearing Comments and Areas of Concern Summary". Responses from WisDOT are provided in the Final ER Attachment 3, which is titled "Response to Public Comments and Areas of Concern". Many of the responses refer to other sections of the Final ER where more detailed information and documentation are provided.

There were also some detailed questions and comments in the public hearing testimony that were very specific to individual properties. These issues were considered as the Final ER was prepared, but they still require a response from WisDOT. Property owners that had questions or concerns specific to their property will be contacted individually in the weeks ahead., if they haven't already been addressed.

Further information can be obtained from Janet Cannon, WisDOT project Supervisor, 262-548-6890.
