February 5, 2016 *** UPDATE: From the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department ***
BURGLARY SUSPECTS CAUGHT
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department has been working with the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, Washington County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office and the City of Mequon, Wisconsin Police Department in an attempt to identify individuals involved in burglaries throughout the area. On 2/4/16, the suspect vehicle was tracked via GPS to an address in the Town of Delafield. Detectives immediately responded and located the vehicle leaving the area. A few minutes later, deputies confirmed that someone had forced entry to the house.
While coordinating a high-risk stop on the suspect vehicle, which was traveling in the left lane, it abruptly turned to the right, and ended up in the ditch. The driver attempted to flee on foot, but surrendered a short distance away. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested for the burglary. A handgun was recovered in the vehicle.
It is believed that these individuals are involved in over a dozen burglaries in at least four different jurisdictions over the last several months.
