Between now and February 15, the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Organization (SSHF) is making a huge effort to reach Korean War veterans who either don’t know about the SSHF mission or need a bit of convincing to sign up. SSHF is asking for help to locate those Vets. There are many, many Korean War veterans in southeastern Wisconsin who have not yet signed up for the Honor Flight.
If you are reading this please reach out to a senior community, a VFW or American Legion post, or another spot where veterans and seniors gather, to share information about SSHF and recruit some Korean War veterans. The “target” can be near your home, near your workplace, or somewhere that you regularly visit. Most of the larger facilities like Luther Manor and St. Camillus may know about SSHF, so talk to your neighbors and friends and provide the attached information.
