Law enforcement is searching for a man accused of robbing Lake Five Service at highways 164 and Q in Richfield at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses said the suspect ran to a red two-door hatchback and fled west on Highway Q.
Lake Five Service was previously robbed by a masked man with a gun after 6 p.m. Jan. 15. According to a Sheriff’s Department news release, the suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt with a lime green shirt underneath and gray sweatpants. He left on foot.
Sheriff’s Department Lt. Robert Stuesser was unsure if the robberies are connected, adding that the suspect from the robbery in January has not been caught.
“People should be vigilant and cognizant of their surroundings. If you see suspicious behavior, report it,” Stuesser said.
The case is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 335-4420 or the tip line at 800-232-0594.
