The current Chapter 70 Zoning Code has not been recodified since the early 1980's. Many sections have been added and often it is difficult to work with the current format. Periodically it is necessary to review zoning regulations and format to make it easy for residents or developers to determine what is allowed and not allowed for development.
The contract includes the folloiwng:
-Kick off meeting with Advisory Committee
-Issue Identification and Scope of project
-Review existing Zoning Code and Zoning Map
-Review Comprehensive Plan
-Review other municipal ordinances to check for overlap
-Draft Zoning Code preparation, 9 meetings with Advisory Committee
-Final Draft Zoning Code
-Joint Plan Commission and Village Board meeting presentation by CiviTek.
This project will begin shortly and the goal is to finish by December 1, 2017.
