RICHFIELD — Chad Waldron started fixing computers in college for his friends and turned it into a business, OneClick Computers.
Sales associate Joe Braunhold said Waldron started working out of his basement and the business grew to the point where he was able to open his first store in Delafield. He later moved the business to Sussex.
After the business grew in Sussex, Waldron opened a second location, 1290 Highway 175 in Richfield, on Thursday.
“We’ve been here (Sussex) two and a half years. It’s been phenomenal for us, so we decided to come out here. It’s a lot like Sussex,” Waldron said. “Small town. Very friendly town type of feel. We’re hoping to get the same luck out here.”
OneClick Computers technicians fix anything and everything on a computer. Some of the services include virus and spyware removal, computer hardware repair, speed restore, factory restoration, website design, search engine optimization, and data maintenance and backup.
Viruses are a widespread problem and Braunhold said a lot of people also come to OneClick because their computer is slow.
OneClick Computers does a free diagnostic on computers.
“We’ll diagnose it and let you know what your looking at in terms of cost of repair and turnaround time. Generally our average bill is under $100 and our average turnaround time is one to two days,” Waldron said.
While having a computer malfunction can be stressful, Waldron said they put their customers at ease by working with them.
“We’ve got nothing but time. We make sure each and every client is taken care of and all of their questions are answered,” Waldron said. “We make sure they’re satisfied. We make sure there’s no room for confusion.”
Braunhold said education is key and technicians at OneClick give the client a better understanding of what they did to fix the computer.
“It’s not just they come in, we fix their computer and send them on their way,” Braunhold said. “We bring them in, we let them know this is what we found out. This might be the cause of the problem and we educate them as well as fix their issues.”
Waldron said they build long-term relationships. “We’ve had over 5,000 clients to date. We have an extremely high retention rate because of the service,” Waldron said.
