Media Matters ~ Be Careful What You Read!

How do candidates inform voters of who they are and why they should get elected? In the past journalists would interview candidates, and hopefully an accurate account of issues and potential solutions would be published.
Candidates would also provide information packets for residents to learn more about them. Is that still a valid way to learn about candidates? Can you decide that by reading the most recent mailers from the new voice group? Probably not!

Recently residents in Richfield received 2 mailers, one a postcard the other was a tri-fold along with a letter.  The letter starts with a quote from Mark Twain, "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."   Are they calling you fools?

No truer words could be used to describe the so called new voice of Richfield.  In the past they promoted their candidates under the the names of Hwy J, RCRG, and No Sewer. By using new voice they are trying to fool residents because they learned that using Hwy J, RCRG, and No Sewer does not generate votes from the knowledgeable residents of Richfield. Don't kid yourself the new voice group are the same old boys.

Sure would have been helpful if they offered their phone number so residents could contact them to ask questions. Or did they lose their new voice.

So in the end it is important you get the facts. Check this web site for Bill Collins  and this site for Dan Neu.
