How to Limit Intrusion on Your Property

Last year many residents were mislead by Jeff Gonyo and Danah Zoulek and their petitions for Term Limits and Adding more Trustees. Often I heard "He did not tell me who he was."  or " I did not understand the consequences."

Over many years Jeff Gonyo has gone door to door in Richfield and many other communities asking for money. Some gave it to him wanting to get rid of him and later regretted it. Here is a simple way to stop this invasion of your personal privacy.

The Village of Richfield has an ordinance against Peddlers, Hawkers, Canvassers and Solicitors. PLEASE MAKE TIME TO READ THIS ORDINANCE IN TOTAL.

Note this section #143-45 (A): A transient merchant shall be prohibited from calling at any dwelling or other place between the hours of sundown and 10:00 a.m., except by appointment; calling at any dwellings on Sundays and legal holidays, except by appointment; calling at any dwelling or other place where a sign is displayed bearing the words "No Peddlers," "No Solicitors," "No Trespassing" or words of similar meaning; calling at the rear door of any dwelling place; or remaining on any premises after being asked to leave by the owner, occupant or other person having authority over such premises.

Sign going up soon.

If someone violates this ordinance, ask their name and report them to the authorities ASAP.
