Washington County’s spring Full Service Clean Sweep of household and agricultural hazardous waste will be held in Slinger on May 10.
The collection will be from 8 a.m.-noon at the Washington County Slinger Highway Shop, 314 W. Washington St. (Highway 175).
This is the first time a Clean Sweep collection will be in Slinger, the Land and Water Conservation Division of the Planning and Parks Department announced. A second Clean Sweep collection will be Oct. 11 in West Bend.
This is the fifth consecutive year the Full Service Clean Sweep Program has been coordinated by the Land and Water Conservation Division with the county Health, Sheriff’s and Highway departments as partners.
A $10 registration fee is required for hazardous waste and electronic goods with participation limited to 250 vehicles per event.
The pharmaceutical collection does not require registration. Used tire collection participation is also unlimited with a maximum of 20 tires per participant and disposal fees apply.
Register for the hazardous waste and e-goods collections by:
■ Downloading the registration form from the website, www.co.washing ton.wi.us/cleansweep, and mail in payment;
■ Stopping in at the Washington County Land and Water Conservation Division, 333 E. Washington St., Suite 2300, in West Bend to submit payment, cash or check accepted;
■ Calling 335-4808 — leave name, address and phone number to receive a mailed Materials not accepted at a Clean Sweep include: TVs, appliances, latex paint, oil, batteries, needles/medical sharps, radioactive items, smoke detectors, propane tanks and cylinders.
