Recently a news reporter from the Daily News called and asked me to respond to a few questions. I am requesting my responses be included in a Richfield Today article as many residents of Richfield do not receive the Daily News. 2022 Candidate for Trustee Village of Richfield Bio
I am a fiscal conservative which is by far the majority of residents in Richfield. The Germantown Trustee experienced person running (for the same office) desires to hire people to look for code violations throughout the village. Report them and issue citations. I believe that our existing anonymous reporting system works just fine and does not cost the taxpayers any money. No additional staff, no additional vehicle, no additional gas charges. Experts in the fields of HVAC, decks, plumbing, and electrical as examples would look into the complaint and use their years of experience and knowledge and training to suggest what might need to be rectified. Additionally, this same person (candidate) desires to make poly structures in the village illegal. I believe there is a place for poly structures as many people have motorcycles, cars, snowmobiles and boats as examples that need sheltering during various times of the year. I also do not support the quadplex proposal on Hwy Q and Hwy 164. The (Plan Commission) meeting minutes reflect my Germantown opponent as saying this is something the Village needs. And finally, I believe that Basses Taste of Country, as long as they are operating in their conditional use permit, is an asset to the community. It is my understanding that my Germantown opponent is not in favor of this business, Question 2 What would be your top priority if elected? To keep Richfield as Richfield. We agree that Richfield is different. However, I do not believe we are different like Germantown is different. Germantown is a wonderful community and offers many things that I take advantage of. But we are not them. What makes you the best person to fill this seat? All of my (years of) experience as Trustee is from the village of Richfield. My opponents' experience (as Trustee) is all from Germantown. I have met with and talked with many residents in Richfield and belong to several organizations within the community. I believe I know the people and what they like and what they do not like. Vote to Re-Elect Bill Collins on April 5th, 2022. Letter to the Editor: “Vote BILL BREWER for Slinger School Board on April 5th”
All four Slinger School Board candidates for the April 5th election agree that pursuing excellence in our district is the right focus. The difference lies in the philosophy that defines the role of school board members in that pursuit. Today’s school board member must lead rather than manage. Both managers and leaders work on budgets, curriculum, facilities, etc., but leaders go to the heart of what parents and other voters are really concerned about. People ask me much more about the state of the educational system in Slinger compared to budgets and achievement. Voters now expect accountability for the content in the classroom AND its delivery. We need leaders who refuse the status quo. The status quo of the NEA and WEAC leads to awful ends: lower performance, less patriotism, a hate for capitalism, divisiveness, “equity,” indoctrination into socialism, programs like “BLM@School” and the 1619 Project, identity before education and the lie of systemic racism. (https://www.brewerforstudents.com/move-beyond-the-status-quo/) Our district deserves leaders on its board who move beyond the status quo, taking bold steps to promote long-term excellence. That’s why, as a parent, I submitted a policy prohibiting race and sex stereotyping in Slinger schools following the February board meeting – eight months after I publicly requested it. Identity should not be the lens through which learning is presented. Parents, students and teachers deserve strong leaders who are willing to fight battles before the enemy reaches the gates. BILL BREWER is that leader. Leaders drive results. We all know that agendas are an unfortunate reality in education. Leaders do their homework to clarify the requirements imposed by government or grantors. ESSER III, the latest round of federal COVID funding, openly promotes establishing equity in schools and presents it in the context of requirements. (https://www.brewerforstudents.com/facts-on-esser-iii/) I showed this to our board, who was unaware, and pushed for more clarification. Administration then asked more questions and ensured these directions aren’t required (confirmation pending). We never would have reached that point, however, without asking the question. Leaders drive results. The establishment wants our schools to ignore basic truths of life, like the reality of gender. The school’s role is to teach biology and human development with appropriate timing and accuracy, leaving morality to be taught at home. For most students, home is the “safest space” of all; educators are uniquely positioned to reinforce the parent’s preeminent role here. School boards need to ensure that we’re continually teaching facts and truth to clarify reality and provide a foundation for critical thinking and life-long learning. Bill Brewer Please post this letter in Richfield Today for Richfield residents who live in Slinger School District.
There is much reason to be concerned with some very damaging and dangerous liberal agendas meant to indoctrinate our children in our public schools. Slinger has a good reputation for its technology program, low spending, good teachers, and much else, but it is not by any means immune from these liberal agendas coming in. Present policies only give parents a means to react if something should raise a red flag once the lesson is already taught, and IF it happens to be noticed or communicated by your child. Bill Brewer has been consistently working with concerned parents and the present schoolboard to keep dialogue open and curriculum transparent in the district. He has presented policies to be proactive in prohibiting race and sex stereotyping in the district. He believes that for the board to build on its past success, they need to priortize parent input more, while keeping communication and support strong with staff. He would like to establish listening sessions with residents, staff, administration and students, as well as subcommittees for evaluating curriculum for any inappropriate materials. As a retired teacher I became concerned many years ago with what government entities were pushing me to teach. Besides taking away from precious instructional time for important academics, it was politically driven and inapproriat in our schools. Things have only accelerated in that direction and I believe Bill Brewer has the resolve, the skills and the desire to work on the Slinger schoolboard for our children's best interests. Hello Germantown School District (GSD) Stakeholders!. That means anyone who lives within GSD school boundaries and many of you live in Village of Richfield as well as Village of Germatnown.
This is a request from a passionate Germantown School parent and family We hope you've enjoyed all of your holidays and are so thankful for you & your support of this great community! We haven't asked for participation in a while and NEED YOU NOW! (Please note: Next GSD School Board Mtg is Mon, 1/24 @ 7pm in GHS PAC. Please come!) THREE THINGS: 1) *****TAKE GSD SURVEY & SHARE IT***** Please fill out this survey to let GSD know you DO NOT want this grant to be accepted. We understand the government will push masks, vaccines and SEL as a result! Keep parents in charge, not government! Review ESSER links for more info. *****Safe Return Plan/ESSER III Stakeholder Input Survey (google.com)***** Major News! . GSD is listed with a dollar amount to receive (have received???) ESSER Grant Funding as part of a stimulus; which has compliance contingencies. Slinger, Kewaskum, Grafton, Cedarburg are also on the list. West Bend has ALREADY accepted these funds at the elementary level. From a very quick review – ESSER involves mandatory masks, possible Covid clinics for student communities, and a lot of SEL from CASEL. (Which we worked so hard to NOT allow in GSD middle school.) Read it, email the board and tell them we don’t want this grant! Speak at school board meetings and explain why you don’t want this grant. Action is needed! https://dpi.wi.gov/.../update-esser-iii-funds-and-resources https://dpi.wi.gov/crrsaa/esser-ii 2) GET READY TO VOTE ON February 15th Primary election More info will be released, but please tell everyone you know to vote ONLY for Russ Ewert. He is a police officier in Milwaukee and has children in Germantown Schools. If you are allowed to vote for 2 please just vote for Russ as there is no benefit to give someone else a vote. Spring General Election April 5th, 2022 Michael Loth, Brian Medved and hopefully Russ Ewert will be on the Spring Election Ballot. Again just vote for these three candidates. Other candidates want more mandates and less childhood for our kids. Keep freedom & strong education in GSD. 3) EDUCATE YOURSELF ON SEL & CASEL: You might have heard of SEL, but below is another snapshot posted in The Germantown Direction: If you're not yet familiar with SEL, please know that we, the parents of GSD, were successfully able to keep YOU, the parents, in charge of your child's emotional growth & development by keeping SEL & Casel OUT OF KMS. It's STILL in GSD elementary schools and the government is pushing for it HARD in all schools. https://open.spotify.com/episode/4F36gREC7b31TiSVNBMotP... NOTES: -With SEL, kids are taught to focus on emotions instead of logic. -Feelings change all the time, so we must also teach them to use logic. -Playing on kids' emotions & taking advantage of that brain center, teaching them parents don't know how to teach them to deal with things = Break down of the family and encourages distrust of parents. -How to counter? = *strengthen the family!* -Implies SEL's goal is to take care of emotions, but rather it exposes kids to adult content and takes away logical processing. -SEL wants to drive out parents and Christian values. -Goal = drive a wedge between parents. Diminish family importance. SEL is very cult-like, group-think mentality. -Casel's goal is to push their agenda into communities & homes. -Casel = a corrupt, strategic company. Comprehensive Sex Education does this too. Get community buy in + get States to mandate it's use. -CDC promo: 'whole school, whole community, whole child.' SEL. Virtual school on display on their website; utopia = kids in school for longer days, cutting out parents and indoctrinating them at school. ***It doesn't take a village; it takes a family. We The Parents need to stop saying "it takes a village!"*** *Surveys determine programs. Results shared nationally and create national mandates "based on data." **How do you think kids will answer after being "trained" at school via SEL, plus the questions are skewed??? *DO NOT FILL OUT THOSE SURVEYS! *Programming heads will only use the parts they want anyway. **Illegal to give a child a survey without first getting parental permission!* *Make sure kids know to not fill out anything that's not academic or without discussing with you! *Get to School Board Meetings! *The agenda of these companies is very clear... and it's not good. Question the grants! This needs to be an ongoing conversation. *Need schools of academia, not ideology. -*Find your State's education code and laws; know them and educate each other. Don't do this by yourself. Go after answers with peace & joy. Come together in a united front of support as parents. -We can make a difference, but we have to get to work! -Freedom Project Academy is a great resource too. Thank you for being leaders in the community. See you on January 24th. The Freemans |
