Gov. Scott Walker called a special election to fill the Assembly seat left open after the death of Rep. Bob Gannon. A primary election will be held if needed on Dec. 19 and the general election will be held on Jan. 16 in the 58th Assembly District in Washington County. At the moment, there are two declared candidates for Bob Gannon’s Assembly seat – Steve Stanek of West Bend and Tiffany Koehler of Slinger. Each election has winners and losers and no recent outcome can be sweeter than the 2017 run for Richfield Village President. Using preliminary results, John Jeffords received support from 1,589 residents and his opponent received a mere 295. That 295 is the lowest for any candidate on the current Richfield ballot. Lower than any other candidate propped up or associated with the Highway J guy over the past 20 years.
Yes, Richfield residents won and it shows they are informed voters. For those of you who do not receive the Washington County Daily News you missed on one side a thoughtful, knowledgeable and informative response by Village President John Jeffords to questions by the reporter, and on the other side a confusing question and answer diatribe by the person trying to unseat him.
John Jeffords had factual information while his opponent had contradictory opinions. Who do you want in office? Try to get the article to get all questions and answers. Election chatter has been quite quiet recently in many areas of Washington County. Yes there are a few yard signs but still not much out there for residents to glean information.
Here is a RT post that provided some information for the 2017 Spring Primary. Now you have to again consider who you will vote for on April 4. Suggestions are listed below: Lowell Holtz for DPI Todd Martens for Circuit Court Judge Annette Ziegler for State Supreme Court Brian Hagedorn for Appeals Court Judge James Porous for Circuit Court Judge For Richfield Village Positions you can consider: John Jeffords for Village President Rock Brandner for Village Trustee Tom Wolff for Village Trustee Take time to exercise your right to vote. Well it is that time of year again when Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner goes to communities in his district and meets with residents. He will be at the Richfield Village Hall Sunday March 19th at 1PM.
Hopefully Richfield residents can arrive early so Richfield residents get to ask him questions. So far there have been activists at most of his town hall events who have disrupted the gathering. If about 100 or more Richfield folks arrive early they can get a seat and request to speak. Time to support your Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner. Well, so glad to learn there are people who do read Richfield Today. Thank You. Recently a few posts were completed on the upcoming election for Washington County Circuit Court Branch 3 Judge. One person even asked for an unbiased post on the two candidates: current sitting Judge Todd Martens and new comer Robert Olson. Since it is very easy to research these candidates on the internet here is a non biased post with internet links to their social media sites After reviewing these social media sites it might be interesting to hear some feed back on these candidates.
