Special Meeting~Richfield Village Board

11/30/2016

Last night the Richfield Village Board held a Special Meeting and the agenda had 2 items on it.

-Discussion/Action regarding a proposed contractual agreement with Gov. Temp USA, LLC. for the placement of an Interim Deputy Treasurer.

KateLynn Schmitt is leaving her position as treasurer and it looks like a contracted person will be hired until that position can be filled.

-Discussion/Action regarding the impending vacancy of a Village Trustee position.

Sandy Voss will be moving out of town and as such cannot continue as trustee. The village needs to fill that position so look for more information on how you can apply. Contact Richfield Village Hall to apply.

Richfield needs a strong leader who is willing to make decisions on behalf of the village residents not on behalf of their personal benefits.

The person they select should be willing to campaign soon for a full  2 year term beginning in April 2017.

Candidates for the April election can begin getting nomination signatures tomorrow December 1, 2016. Nomination papers for the April election must be submitted early in January 2017.

The election process will start soon. Get ready to see who will be candidates for Richfield Village Trustee April 2017.

For the past several years a group of musicians have formed a group called Crown of Life Orchestra (COLO).  Initially, COLO was intended to present some of the music in doors during our Live Nativity event. Over time and practices the group has grown the ability to present full concerts at Christmas time. The group mostly covers songs from Tran Siberian Orchestra, but has since included several of their own original songs. The orchestra includes a wide range of instruments, vocals and styles. All of the music is celebration of the Christmas season and the Birth of Jesus as the Savior from sin.

With mixed emotions here is the recent announcement by the Village of Richfield. And at the same time we wish KateLynn Schmitt all the best in her new position.

The Village is seeking a candidate with three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in municipal operations. A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, public administration, business administration, or political science is desired, but advanced degrees or certifications (CPA, MPA, MBA) related to the same are preferred. Equivalent combinations of education (ie: Associate’s Degree) and progressively responsible experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be an important contributor in a Team environment which is aimed at providing Village services in the most efficient, effective and economical manner possible.

Shepherd of the Hills Church is holding a very special Community Blood Drive in memory of Jim Gitter on Tuesday, December 13th. To schedule a donation appointment with the Blood Center or call 877-232-4376.

Please help us celebrate the Gitter Family's courage and strength and help patients in our community and beyond.  Oh yeah, all attempting donors will also be entered into a sweepstakes to win a $250 gift card to help with holiday bills.

SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS - HUBERTUS
12/13/16 2:00 pm - 07:00 pm, 1350 HWY 175
SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, HUBERTUS, WI 53033

Oh behalf of all the patients you're helping... Thank you! We can't do this without you!. As a loyal blood donor, Jim Gitter was a giver. But, a low iron count revealed a bone marrow disorder that led to leukemia. During treatment, Jim had a remarkable 450 red blood and platelet transfusions, which gave Jim six more years with his family before passing in December.

"I donate for the time we got with Jim, and so other families get time with their loved ones," says daughter-in-law Patty.
