Evie Kohl RIP

Picture
Eveline Kohl better known to most of us as Evie passed way Sept. 2nd. Her family was with her. Evie and John had a wonderful marriage of 63 years during which they raised 3 children, Terry, Tom and Tammy who adored their Mom. Evie will also be missed by her daughters-in-law Diane and Liz, and 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

One might say Evie was the first lady of Richfield as she supported John, all those years, in his political activities. Evie was an active member of St. Boniface church and worked as Church Secretary for Shepherd of the Hills Church.

She worked diligently as a Richfield Lions Club member and was a founding member of the Richfield Lioness Club. When Evie volunteered she gave her all. For years she single handedly created the Lioness Fashion Show Program book and met with various business owners asking them to support the Lioness.

She was a gracious lady who will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and the all so many friends Evie made over her lifetime.

Funeral on Sept. 6th at St. Boniface Church, Germantown. Visitation 3-6 at church, mass at 6 p.m. Reception following mass at Sterling Chalet. Burial Wed. morning.

Renewed Landscaping via David Frank

Are you getting to the age where a lot of yard work is getting too much especially this summer with all the weeds? Seems everyone is commenting on how many weeds they have had to deal with this summer.

So.....consider getting some help. David Frank Landscape Contracting in Germantown might be an answer for you. They came to discuss the project within a reasonable time after my phone call to them. The men who pulled the weeds and installed the mulch were friendly and diligent in their work. We also had some Japanese Beetles that need spraying to control them. The man who did that work also found some beetles in our River Birch tree and sprayed without asking. Thank you so much.

Looking forward to seeing our wall rebuilt, some stone are falling down.
Nice to be able to promote a local area business who does such great work.

Library Merger ~ Final Vote

8/18/2016

In a recent post regarding merger of 2 library systems it was mentioned that 4 county boards had to approve the merger of Mid-Wisconsin and Eastern Shores Library Systems.

Ozaukee and Dodge were the first to approve the merger. Since that post Washington and Sheboygan County boards also approved the merger.

WI state officials see benefits of larger library systems which would mean cost savings through administration reduction. As noted in prior article the merger would benefit people who use the libraries by receiving better services and greater offering of books etc.

The full merger will occur in the future.

Supreme Court Justice Barack Obama

8/17/2016

I received this from a friend today and want to share it for all to consider. It is a very credible possibility.

I have five scary little words for all voters who backed losing candidates in the Republican primaries and who are threatening to sit out the November election because they don’t like Donald Trump:

Supreme Court Justice Barack Obama

The choice in November is clear – it will be either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, and a no-vote is the same as a vote for Hillary Clinton.  If Hillary Clinton, arguably the most dishonest and corrupt person ever to run for President of the United States, wins, I have no doubt that a President Hillary Clinton will name President Obama to the Supreme Court for several very good reasons:

1. He has covered her backside, no easy task that, in the email server scandals and now
wants payback;
2. He claims credentials as a Constitutional lawyer; he is buying a mansion in Washington D. C. and has
made no secret of his desire to stay in the capitol; and he could complete his “fundamental transformation” of our Republic during a lifetime on the Supreme Court.

If that’s not enough to scare everyone into voting, I don’t know what will.
