A few ladies and I went to the fair last night. We walked through the carnival area, fed the camel and then set our chairs on the hill overlooking the amphitheater. People mingled, laughed, while children were playing. Nice night for a concert.
Washington County Fair Grounds has a new amphitheater and they have out done themselves for a local county fair. A few ladies and I went to the fair last night. We walked through the carnival area, fed the camel and then set our chairs on the hill overlooking the amphitheater. People mingled, laughed, while children were playing. Nice night for a concert.

Like many of you I chose to watch a few parts of the DNC Convention to see who they had speaking and what they might be saying. This morning I received this information in an email from a friend in Richfield.
Seems the media chose not to show this. Many in the News media made it seem, since Bernie supported Hillary, that all was fine in the DNC party but it was not. As most of you know there is a new Richfield Fire Station being built just west of Richfield Village Hall on Hubertus Road. Stopped in today to vote and thought I might take some pictures. Probably would have been better it I took them from a higher vantage point but you can see the walls beginning to go up and the septic field in getting completed. Talked with Village Administrator Jim Healey while I was there and learned the Richfield Fire Company hopes to take occupancy by January 1, 2017. More pictures will come as time goes by. Stay tuned. Early voting began yesterday July 25th.
Stop in at the Richfield Village hall if you live in Richfield and vote early for your candidate of choice for Washington County Clerk. Have you read the book or seen the movie, 'Clinton Cash?'
I have not but friends and neighbors have and they said it is a must see. Take a minute to watch this trailer. And make up your own mind. All summer we have seen the road building crews at the intersection of Hwy's 167 and 175 and their work is looking very good. Many folks are eagerly waiting to see a new downtown Richfield with new parking and walking/biking path. So the next phase is the closure of the entire intersection where the crews will complete the roundabout.
Currently drivers can see the partial completion of the new roundabout. And beginning August 8th and continuing to August 22nd the entire intersection will be closed. No through traffic will be allowed. All we need now is to see Sobelman's come to the old Amici's restaurant. Keeping my fingers crossed. Many of you may have done business with Something Borrowed & More over the years. In years past they frequently supported the Richfield Lioness Fashion shows with fabulous table decorations and more.
This is a shout out to Jennifer Herther, one of the owners of Something Borrowed & More. Thank you very much, my orchid has been repotted. Thank you for providing the necessary potting soil for my plant. Eagerly waiting new orchids. Something Borrowed & More offers so much in one place. From the obvious floral designs and accessories that one see's upon entering their shop to the creative ideas for any event. Richfield residents are lucky to have this full service business right here in town. Are you looking to experience a premier wine event?
