May 19th Take a Vet to Culver's

May 19th is Culver's Stars and Stripes Honor Flight fund raising day....another day to "X" off on your calendar.  


Find a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Veteran and take them to your local Culver's for some custard (or a meal).  It's a win/win.....everybody loves custard, everybody loves the Vets, and we get to show our appreciation and support to Culver's as well as Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

Milwaukee DA John Chisholm Shame

Most of you have heard of the John Doe investigation that has been conducted for the past 2 or more years by Milwaukee DA John Chisholm investigating Governor Scott Walker and others who donated to his campaign. But you do not know the whole story. Rush Limbaugh had the story on his radio show today and referenced this article by David French.

Check out this article by David French of the National Review. You will be astounded that this can happen in America like it was done in Germany with Hitler.

WIS 164 County Q to County E

Summary of Letter from Janet Cannon, P. E. WisDOT Project Supervisor, Waukesha, WI

The WisDOT Southeast Region office has finalized the Environmental Report for the WIS 164 County Q - County E project. A public hearing was conducted on Jan. 23, 2014, at Friess Lake School.  WisDot received written testimony, public verbal testimony, and/or private verbal testimony from many residents from that area. Everyone's input was considered as the Environmental Report was finalized.

Local Negotiating Committee

Policy question, "Does the village board wish to establish a "Local Negotiating Committee" for the purposes of establishing a presence with the State for the siting of a solid or hazardous waste facility under Sec. 289.33?

That was the question put to the village board on April 16th in response to communication from Scenic Pit, L.L.C. on March 5, 2015 indicating their intention to seek approval for a "landfill" or otherwise defined as a "solid waste facility" under Wisconsin State Statutes.

Village of Richfield Proposed 2016-2020 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)

Richfield's village administrator Jim Healy gave an extensive presentation on the CIP outlining proposed capital expenditures for the next 4 years.  This program will be part of the budget process and discussed during the budget meetings later this year. The CIP includes projects such as items for Parks and Recreation, Public Works and Highways and Vehicle replacements in each year.
