Keep Taxes Down while Maintaining Roads? Is that possible? If so how?

For those of you who do not receive the Washington County Daily News you missed on one side a thoughtful, knowledgeable and informative response by Village President John Jeffords to questions by the reporter, and on the other side a confusing question and answer diatribe by the person trying to unseat him.

John Jeffords had factual information while his opponent had contradictory opinions. Who do you want in office? Try to get the article to get all questions and answers.

Jay Leno Takes A Ride

Watch this to the end.  Was NOT supposed to go this way.

“This has been on my bucket list since I was a kid,” says car enthusiast Jay Leno of driving the Hemi Under Glass, a 2,500-horsepower Plymouth Barracuda first introduced in the 1960s, with its massive engine situated in the rear of the car, surrounded by glass, known for the way its front end rockets skyward when the driver accelerates.

Jay finally got to cross this particular item off his list, taking a spin in the 'Hemi Under Glass' with its inventor, Bob Riggle.

Lovely Way to Support RHS

3/27/2017

Once again, the Richfield Historical Society is holding its annual plant sale. This year there is something new – the $15 and $25 certificates can be used at both Faust Greenhaus and Nehm’s Greenhouse (not Nehm’s Floral).

The flier that is attached provides all the necessary information and a Certificate Order Form. Also included with the flier are the Society’s upcoming 2017 events/programs.

Please share with your neighbors, friends, co-workers, relatives. Also, a Certificate would make a wonderful gift.

If you want to purchase Certificates at the RHS program this Thursday night, someone will be available to take your Order Form (and, of course, your payment) and give you the Certificates that you order.

Or, please call Sharon at 262-297-1546.

Thanks for supporting the Richfield Historical Society

Election chatter has been quite quiet recently in many areas of Washington County. Yes there are a few yard signs but still not much out there for residents to glean information.

Here is a RT post that provided some information for the 2017 Spring Primary. Now you have to again consider who you will vote for on April 4.

Suggestions are listed below:
Lowell Holtz for DPI
Todd Martens for Circuit Court Judge
Annette Ziegler for State Supreme Court
Brian Hagedorn for Appeals Court Judge
James Porous for Circuit Court Judge

For Richfield Village Positions you can consider:
John Jeffords for Village President
Rock Brandner for Village Trustee
Tom Wolff for Village Trustee

Take time to exercise your right to vote.

Haiku Journey
Spring

the tips of each pine
the spikes of telephone poles
hold gathering crows

may’s errant mustard
spreads wild across paved road
look both ways

roadside treble cleft
feeding gopher, paws to mouth
cheeks puffed with music

yesterday’s spring wind
ruffling the grey tips of fur
rabbit dandelion
