Oscar Meyer Plant Closing this Spring

Very interesting article in Fortune Magazine about how a business is changing when a Brazilian private equity group runs the Kraft Heinz company. It has rapidly cut costs since merging Kraft with Heinz in 2015. The Oscar Meyer plant in Madison will be closing sometime this March.

Amazing we see the old familiar labels and think these are still American companies. What a surprise.

SEWRPC & Driverless Vehicle Implications

1/27/2017

There has been a lot of talk about driverless cars that will be operational in the relative near future. Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has written an interesting article: Commentary on Planning Implications of Driverless Vehicle Technology.

Because the Commission's latest transportation system plan extends to the year 2050, far beyond the date at which driverless vehicles may be expected, it might be interesting to read what type of planning is needed for regional land use planning.

Dear Friends,
Is soaring to new heights by climbing a large mountain on your bucket list? This is the year you can check it off your list AND DO IT FOR A CAUSE!

Simple Hope invites you to join us in climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

It is difficult, at best, to live in an under-developed nation. Each day is filled with struggle to provide basic needs for a family. In America we are privileged with resources that simply don't exist in Tanzania. On this climbing trip you will experience some hardship as well, as the resources on the mountain are limited. This is a great way to gain compassion for the way most of  the Tanzanians live daily. You will also have an opportunity to raise tax deductible dollars that will help Simple Hope Corp further it's sustainable projects and teaching in Tanzania.

Join us for our informational  meeting February 2nd, 2017, 6:00pm - 7:30pm  at Von Rothenberg Bier Stube - N116 W15863 Main Street, Germantown, WI 53022

Click here to download a beautiful brochure about Climb for a Cause!

Click here to indicate that you are interested in learning more and are coming to the Informational Meeting.

We hope you will join us to do something big for those who struggle to live each day...and check something off you bucket list at the same time. We hope to see you on Feb. 2nd!
