At 7 p.m. April 23, I’m being given the opportunity to speak at a free and public forum at the Moose Lodge in West Bend. Common Sense Citizens of Washington County is hosting the event, and they have made it clear that they are encouraging and inviting any and all to attend, regardless of whether you are a member of their organization or not. The formal program should be less than 20 minutes, after which I will be happy to stay and answer questions from the audience.
In days long past, it was common for candidates for elected office to have these opportunities to speak to the public, but unfortunately those opportunities are no longer as common today.
I promise to make every effort during this campaign to come and visit with the voters at their homes, offices, local markets and festivals, but please consider taking advantage of this chance to come and listen and learn of my positions on the issues.
America remains the greatest nation, and Wisconsin and the 58th District remain the best places in America to live, work and play, though we can only remain strong and great if we stay engaged and hold our political leaders accountable. I believe that this level of accountability can only happen if we all stay engaged politically.
