Today I received a tour of Rim's Edge Orchard and was told of and shown 21 different varieties of apples. You could almost eat a different apple each day of the month. They have more than 6000 apple trees and more varieties of apples to come in the future. They also have numerous bee hives for production of their honey.
Ray and Jan Burg who live in the Village of Richfield operate Rim's Edge Orchard located on the corner of Amy Belle and Willow Creek Roads. Stop in sometime and consider picking your own apples. Now that is really a fresh apple.
In addition to growing and selling apples they offer, in their apple store, WI Maple Syrup, Local Honey, Fresh Apple Cider, Caramel Apples, and pick your own pumpkins. They offer a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Check their web site to learn when various activities are scheduled.
To get the most up to date information on when each type of apple is ready for picking or eating you might want to stop in and sign up for their weekly newsletter. You also will want to bring home some of their tasty apples.
