For many years residents of Richfield drove past the property on Scenic Road, halfway between Hwy 167 and Pleasant Hill Road, with a large barn in major disrepair. Residents of the subdivision just east of the barn often commented that they wanted the barn torn down as it was an eye sore and a safety issue for their children. The barn is the legacy of the Henry Ebling homestead from the early 1800's.
A few years ago Tim Einwalter and his wife purchased the property and began restoration of the historic barn.
