Last nights Richfield Plan Commission agenda included 3 items which were open for a Public Hearing:
-Amendments to Chapter 167 — Erosion Control and Stormwater Management
-Conditional Use Permit application for a retail service health club on Wolf Rd
-Conditional Use Permit application for an adult day service on Helsan Drive.
As a part of the Village being enrolled in the MS4 Permit Program by the Wisconsin DNR, the Village has certain deliverables that they must abide by. One of which is updating the municipal code to a "Model Ordinance" that has been prepared by Washington County Conservationist Paul Sebo in conjunction with the Wisconsin DNR. For the Village, not much is changing in terms of administration of pre-construction, post-construction, and erosion control provisions as they already exist in village Code.  Adopting these new ordinances are a condition of the $85,000 grant the village received approximately two (2) years ago. Check the plan commission packet for details.

Ayer Electric at 1710 Wolf Road moved to Germantown and a new health club is looking to locate there.

Fit Club LLC - Village Staff worked with the petitioner for the last month regarding her desire to open a health club, Fit Club, LLC. The health club will be somewhat of a non-traditional health club, because instead of being an equipment-focused facility, they will utilize ropes, medicine balls, kettle balls, tires, weight resistance training, and other types of anaerobic exercises that utilize an individual's own weight as resistance for activities such as running, jumping, crawling, climbing.

Golden Pearl, LLC. has been serving Washington County and Ozaukee County since May of 2012. It is an "Adult Day Services" business that specializes in developing programming and teaching life skills to elderly adults, adults with disabilities, and the frail elderly.  It will be located at 3018 Helsan Drive.

All three items noted above were approved and will be forwarded to the Village Board for final approval.
